how we started
Reynard's story began in 2019 when its founders—Jack Baldwin, Kalyn Kight, and James Knight—met while working for a commercial architectural design firm in Atlanta, GA.

When 2020 brought unexpected challenges, it also opened doors. Amid the uncertainty of the pandemic, the three partners discovered their passion for collaborating with clients to design inspired, one-of-a-kind homes. Fueled by the joy of turning dreams into reality, Reynard Custom Homes was officially established that year.

What started as a professional connection quickly evolved into a shared vision: to redefine custom home design by creating spaces that truly reflect each homeowner's individual aesthetics, budget, and lifestyle.

The Story Behind Our Name
REYNARD THE FOX is the name of the main character in a literary cycle of medieval allegorical fables about an adventurous and curious fox.
Because of the popularity of the European Reynard stories, over time the name (which means "strong in counsel") even came to be the standard French word for "fox" (renard).
