From Australia to Atlanta...and back again!

Fueled by a desire to see the world, James traveled to the United States in January 2019. Connecting with his aunt in Atlanta, Georgia, he sought a new adventure and an opportunity to expand his architectural horizons. It was during this fateful trip that James walked into an Atlanta architectural firm and met Jack Baldwin and Kalyn.
The trio immediately bonded over a shared passion for creating truly one-of-a-kind custom homes. Throughout 2019, they collaborated on several memorable projects across Georgia. From an Asian-inspired lakeside home in Locust Grove to the massive, collaborative transformation of an abandoned property on Standard Drive in Brookhaven.
By capturing a client's underlying values and dreams, he bridges the gap between a vague idea and a stunning reality.
James’s approach is deeply collaborative and often delightfully surprising. When presenting concepts to clients, he frequently employs a unique strategy:
-
The Foundational Plan: A floor plan that flawlessly captures exactly what the client asked for, complete with a thorough breakdown of pros and cons.
-
The Wildcard Plan: A completely distinct, innovative design that pushes boundaries, incorporating elements the client hadn't even thought to ask for.
Even if a risk doesn't land perfectly—such as the time he jokingly presented an "upside-down house" just to test a client's boundaries—it serves a vital purpose. It helps narrow down exactly what the client loves and loathes, making the final design perfectly tailored to their unique tastes.
